Short answer

This planner turns standard deadlines into a practical reminder list. It does not replace the deadlines in your HMRC or Companies House accounts: first-year accounts, large-company Corporation Tax, special VAT schemes, payment method and business circumstances can change the date that applies to you.

Your planning reminders

Review every generated date against your official online accounts before relying on it.

Companies House: Confirmation statement guidance
File within 14 days of the confirmation date shown in your Companies House record.
31 Dec 2026Companies House annual accounts deadline
GOV.UK: Prepare annual accounts
Established private companies usually file accounts 9 months after their financial year end. First accounts have different rules.
1 Jan 2027Corporation Tax payment planning date
HMRC: Paying Corporation Tax
For many companies, Corporation Tax is due 9 months and 1 day after the accounting period ends. Different rules can apply, including for large companies.

Use a calendar for planning, not a substitute for an official account

A calendar is most useful when it is paired with a monthly finance review: reconcile records, set aside tax cash, check documents are complete and look for upcoming payment pressure. Link the result to your cash-flow forecast so VAT, payroll and Corporation Tax do not appear as surprises.

Check your official accounts before relying on a date

HMRC and Companies House show the actual filing and payment dates for your business. This tool deliberately uses standard planning rules and does not assess penalties, extensions, company size, first accounts or special schemes.
